Betty Ongi’njo is a registered and practicing Urban Planner, and a Corporate member of the Town and County Planners Association of Kenya(TCPAK). Her educational accomplishments include M.A. (Urban & Regional Planning) and B.A. (Urban & Regional Planning) both from the University of Nairobi. She is currently a pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Urban Planning at the same university.
Betty has and continues to participate in the preparation of many plans, key among which include:
Urban Development Masterplan for Dunga Beach Waterfront, Kisumu (On-going); Urban Renewal Plan for Eastlands, Nairobi (2016-2036); County Spatial Plan for Kirinyaga County (2015-2025); Integrated Strategic Urban Spatial Development Plans for Laare town and its environs (2016-2036), Mandera, El Wak and Kotulo towns (2015-2035); and Nakuru, Nyeri and Naivasha towns (2015-2035).
